Rates No surge · flat & contract pricing

Shuttle bus rates for NYC groups

Three ways we price: hourly charter for a single event, flat one-way rates for group airport transfers, and per-route contract pricing for recurring programs. No surge, ever — a fixed rate that doesn’t jump at rush hour, in a storm, or around a big event.

Quick answer

NYC shuttle bus charters start at about $180/hr for a 14-seat Sprinter, rising with vehicle size to roughly $240/hr for a 55-seat motorcoach, with a three- to four-hour minimum. Group airport transfers to JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark are flat one-way rates from around $210–$270 for a Sprinter. Recurring commuter programs are quoted per route and operating day, so cost per rider falls sharply as a corridor fills.

Recurring programs

How recurring program pricing works

An employee commuter, campus, or warehouse program is quoted per route and per operating day, not per rider — so the more of a corridor you fill, the lower the cost per seat. Pricing depends on the number of routes, the vehicle sizes, the daily mileage and hours, and the number of operating days per week. One monthly invoice covers vehicles, drivers, insurance, fuel, and tolls.

The honest comparison

Is a chartered shuttle better than rideshare or your own fleet?

For a group that travels together on a schedule, a chartered shuttle is almost always cheaper and more reliable than pooling rideshares or buying and staffing your own buses. Here is how the options line up.

Factor Commuter Shuttle Co. Pooled rideshare Own company fleet
Cost for 20+ ridersOne flat vehicle rateMultiplies per car, per tripCapital + drivers + garage

Rideshare comparison assumes standard app pricing; surge multipliers of 1.5×–3× are common at weekday rush, in rain or snow, and around major NYC events. Fixed shuttle rates do not surge.
